There’s nothing quite as empowering as a slick of perfectly applied, scarlet lipstick, but all too often, we hear laments from our customers that they can’t find a red to suit. So, on Sunday the 12th of December, the What Katie Did boutique is playing host to a very special event. We’ve invited vintage makeup mavens Lipstick and Curls to come and spend an afternoon with us, and we’d love you all to come along. Part workshop, part tea party, the aim is simple – help the ladies of London find their perfect red lipstick, just in time for the Christmas party season!
It doesn’t matter whether you’ve always wanted to try a pillarbox pout, but haven’t known where to start, or whether you’re a confirmed lipstick lover who has yet to find her signature shade. The know-how of the Lipstick and Curls girls, combined with our full range of beautiful Besame Cosmetics lipsticks and liners, mean your lips need never be naked again!
From the glorious comfort of our special press boudoir, you’ll learn how to find the right shade to suit your colouring, and how to apply it precisely, creating a period lip shape that works for your favourite era. Even more importantly, you’ll be taught how to keep it on all day and all night, through Christmas dinners, New Years cocktails, and of course, plenty of kissing under the mistletoe! There are all sorts of handy tips and tricks to ensure your lipstick stays put… all of which shall be imparted to you by the lovely Lipstick and Curls. The ladies will also be on hand to advise on all aspects of vintage makeup, from foundation, to eyeliner, to getting the perfect eyebrows. With their help, you’ll be transformed into a picture-perfect Hollywood starlet, more than ready for your closeup!
You can stay all afternoon, or simply breeze in and out – there are no rules or restrictions, just lashings of glamour.
